Aiming to bring senior researchers from UK and Vietnam with expertise in various methodical, cultural, social and organizational evidence-based approaches in effective energy management, Can Tho University (CTU) in collaboration with University of Salford, UK held UK - Vietnam Researcher Links Workshop "Developing a Research Agenda to Ensure Vietnam’s Secure Sustainable and Resilient Energy Supply (VS2RES)". Sponsored by Newton Fund and British Council, the workshop brought together more than 30 scientists from Vietnam and UK, and took place at Learning Resource Center, CTU from May 15th to 17th, 2017.
 

UK - Vietnam Researcher Links Workshop

 

During the workshop, early career researchers took the opportunity to present their research in the form of poster and short oral presentation, then, discuss with established researchers from the UK and Vietnam. Three key issues involved in the workshop are Energy and environment, IT innovation and Smart city innovation. 
 

Three-day workshop involving early career researchers and senior academics and mentors focuses on developing research agenda to ensure Vietnam’s secure sustainable and resilient energy supply.  Thereby, It creates opportunities to foster links for research collaboration among scientists of Vietnam and UK.
