On July 16^th, 2020, Can Tho University (CTU) coordinated with Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam to hold the Opening Ceremony of Factory Automation Solution Center (FASC). Attending the ceremony were the leaders of Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam; CTU's Rectorate Board together with staff and students of College of Engineering Technology.
 

Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan, CTU's Rector, reviewed CTU's cooperation relationship with Japanese partners such as YARI-V, Takesho Food & Ingredients and Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam, and sent thanks for their help and cooperation in the past years

Mr. Shunichi Umeto, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam, expressed his gratitude to CTU for accompanying on the establishment of the Center and wished that the cooperative relationship between the two sides would be maintained and developed through many activities related to the usage and operation of FASC

With the desire to introduce and disseminate the products, applications and automation solutions under Mitsubishi Electric brand to enterprises inside and outside the Mekong Delta area, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam cooperated with CTU to jointly operate and use a center called "Factory Automation Solution Center - FASC". The objective is to research, apply, technology transfer, implement the mission of education and training of high quality human resource for automation field through on using FASC resources.

Playing a role as a bridge between the three parties: manufacturing enterprises, customers with demand for automatic technology - researchers at CTU - Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam with support of technology, engineering, equipment, FASC will operate in two main activities: training of high quality human resources; research, application and transfer of automation technology solutions. Some specific activities of the Center such as: short-term training of factory technicians on PLC, inverters, HMI screens, SCADA systems for factories, energy monitoring for buildings; services of research and solution transfer, etc.
