On January 19, 2026, Dr. Le Van Lam – Vice Rector of Can Tho University, welcomed and held a working session with a delegation of professors from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Kingdom of Belgium. The delegation included Prof. Bram Vanderborght – President of the Brussels Human Robotics Research Center, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and Prof. Constantin Scholz – Lead of the SAFEBOT Project, Vrije Universiteit Brussel and imec. 

During the meeting, both sides exchanged information and shared perspectives on research orientations, academic strengths, and potential areas for future cooperation. In particular, Can Tho University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel agreed to strengthen collaboration in scientific research and the implementation of joint projects, with a special focus on innovation-driven entrepreneurship and university spin-off development.

The working session served as an important opportunity to further promote academic and research collaboration between Can Tho University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, opening up promising prospects for substantive and long-term cooperation in line with the University’s strategy for the internationalization of education and sustainable development of science and technology in the new phase.
