On February 3, 2026, Dr. Le Van Lam - Vice Rector of Can Tho University, together with representatives of relevant units, received and held a working session with the delegation from the National University of Battambang, Kingdom of Cambodia, led by Dr. Pao Srean - Vice Rector.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on their respective development orientations and strengths in training and research, and discussed potential opportunities for cooperation in the coming period. The discussion focused on enhancing the quality of education in accordance with regional standards, particularly focusing on modernizing academic programs at the National University of Battambang to meet the quality assurance standards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA).
As part of the working visit to Can Tho University, the National University of Battambang is expected to hold specialized meetings with the College of Engineering, the College of Agriculture, and the Institute of Food and Biotechnology on February 4, 2026.
The working session served as an important foundation for strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two universities, while opening up new opportunities for learning, research, and academic exchange for faculty members and students in the future, toward the goal of promoting sustainable higher education development and regional integration.
