Can Tho, February 1, 2024 - Continuing its active engagement in the international project Erasmus+ Bridging Digital Divide in Mongolia and Vietnam through HEI’s Digital Transformation (DIGITAL MOVE), Can Tho University (CTU) further reaffirmed its proactive role by appointing three lecturers to participate in an intensive training course on digital transformation. The training was conducted from 22 to 26 January 2024 at Technical University of Košice (TUKE), Slovakia.
Within the framework of the DIGITAL MOVE project, this important training course was organized at one of Slovakia's leading technical universities, the Technical University of Košice. The training focused on equipping lecturers and administrators of partner universities with the most advanced knowledge, skills, and methods of digital transformation in higher education.
Can Tho University demonstrated its strong commitment to the project by appointing three lecturers to participate in the training course, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung, Vice Rector, Dr. Le Van Lam, Head of the Department of International Relations, and Dr. Pham Nguyen Khang, Vice Rector of the College of Information and Communication Technology. Their participation reflects Can Tho University’s recognition of the rapidly evolving global digital transformation landscape and underscores the university’s strategic efforts to strengthen faculty capacity at an institutional level in response to the increasing demands of contemporary higher education.

The training course at the Technical University of Košice provided practical and up-to-date content covering key aspects of digital transformation in higher education, including:
- Effective models and strategies for digital transformation in the university context;
- The application of advanced digital technologies in teaching, learning, and assessment;
- The development and management of online learning platforms and digital educational resources;
- Quality assurance and information security in digital learning environments;
- International experience and good practices in digital transformation from European universities.
Representatives of Can Tho University actively participated in training sessions, thematic discussions, and professional exchanges with international experts and colleagues at Technical University of Košice. The knowledge and competencies acquired through this training course constitute an important resource, supporting the effective and coordinated implementation of digital transformation initiatives at Can Tho University in the coming period.
Can Tho University's proactive decision to send three lecturers to participate in an intensive training course at an advanced educational institution like Kosice University of Technology within the framework of the DIGITAL MOVE project once again affirms the university's strong commitment to grasping trends, innovating teaching and management methods, and building a modern, advanced digital education environment that best meets the needs of learners and society.
