Within the framework of Ulysseus Košice Week and the Consortium Meeting of the Erasmus+ project Bridging Digital Divide in Mongolia and Vietnam through HEIs’ Digital Transformation (DIGITAL MOVE), a delegation from Can Tho University (CTU) participated in a series of activities hosted by Technical University of Košice (TUKE), Slovakia, from 20 to 23 October 2025, together with partner institutions from France, Slovakia, Mongolia, and Vietnam.

During the meeting, delegates reviewed the progress of the project’s six Work Packages (WPs), discussed quality assurance approaches, mechanisms for disseminating project results, and directions for cooperation beyond the project’s duration. Can Tho University shared practical experiences in the digital transformation of teaching and learning activities, with particular emphasis on the development of hybrid teaching models and online courses implemented on the LMS platform (CTU e-Learning).

In recent years, with the support of the DIGITAL MOVE project, Can Tho University has upgraded and implemented a range of online courses designed to enhance learner interaction through the integration of videos, practical exercises, quizzes, and simulated scenarios. These course designs support the development of learners’ digital competencies, critical thinking skills, and proactive self-directed learning.

In particular, the two courses “Essential Digital Skills” and “Safeguarding Learners Online”, developed in alignment with the European Commission’s DigComp 2.2 digital competence framework, contribute to the dissemination of blended learning approaches and the sharing of digital learning resources among universities at regional and international levels.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the delegation from Can Tho University engaged in discussions with European partners on strategies for sustaining and further expanding project outcomes, with the aim of establishing a long-term cooperation network in the digital transformation of higher education. Participation in and experience sharing during the activities in Slovakia have supported Can Tho University’s efforts in educational innovation and internationalisation, while contributing to the broader objective of the DIGITAL MOVE project to help bridge the digital divide between Asian and European higher education institutions.
